Natural Light Portraits

I took this picture of my friend Rae,when we were taking Natrual Light photos. I set her up so she was facing the sun so the natrual light could light up her face, instead of using a studio light.

This was another natural light photo. I placed her by a tree, facing the sun, so once again, the sun can light up her face. I used depth of field to a point. The background behind her is alittle blurry, while her face and the tree is completely clear.

This picture of Josh was used for natural light also. Depth of Field was used in this photo. Josh's head is clear where the school and the tree's behind him are blurry. By making the background blurry, it makes the background not so distracting and you can focus on the subject more.

This was another natural light photo. We used the natural light to brighten up her face and the colorful background.
This natural light photo has used depth of field. His face is clear and the background behind him is blurry.

The natural light, lightens her face up and the tree she's leaning against.

This was another natural light portrait, it was turned a little bit, but the sun lights her up, so we can take pictures outside instead of in a studio using fake lighting.

I needed Rae to face the sun so she could light up instead of being dark and not being able to see as many features.

Photography

This is a picture I took of my brother and my dad at the beach one day. The picture was facing the San Juan Islands. I used a filter to bring out the clouds in the sky and to make my brother and dad stand out.

This picture was taken down by the bay. I used a fliter on my Ipod to darken the setting and make it look more eriee.
This picture was taken of the sky. I was trying to capture the interesting look of the trees and the clouds combined.

This picture was  meant to capture the raindrop. I used depth of field to blur the background and keep the main raindrop clear.

This was a picture of a bubble in a puddle. I got up close to the bubble just to increase the neatness of the photo.

This was the side of a garbage can. This photo was used for harmony becuse it's taking two colors and combing them on an object.

These last two pictures were taken out in the court yard. They both use depth of field because the grass and the rain drop are the main part of the photo while the background is blurred out.

Depth of field was used.

Depth of field was used here because the start key is clear while the other ones in the background are blurry.

Photoshop

This was the same picture used in my photography link but I made this one into greyscale and also used the burn and dodge tool on it.

This was a photo that was taken of me by Brooke Gatterman. I took the photo and turn it into greyscale and then added the red to highlight my hair.

I used content aware on this photo. The sides of the walk way used to have grass on them, but i used content aware to remove them and make it all look the same.

This was a picture of a paper and I just put a different filter on it so make it look painted.

This is the same picture I took of my dad and my brother. I used the dodge tool to make the sky and the islands lighter and there was some glare on the right hand side of the screen.

This was the last picture we did in photoshop. It was our visual puns. I took a picture of rain drops and then took a picture of a bow and made the bow smaller and lower the opacity and placed it inside the rain drops to create a 'rain bow'
This was a picture of me that I changed and made look better. I darkened my hair and I touched up me face.

This was a picture I found online and I mirrored it and liquified it.

This is a picture I took of Dayna. I used it for our natural portraits, but i changed this one and selected her head and make it black and white and kept the background pink.
